The goal of the Maryland Retired School Personnel Association Endowment Fund Scholarship is to provide certified teachers for public school classrooms of Maryland.

2. In 250 words or less, explain your reason for requesting financial assistance.  (Please attach essay to application.)

 

3. Recommendations: Applicants must have two (2) of the following persons submit a letter of reference prior to the deadline for application directly to The Community Foundation of Frederick County, MD, Inc.:


a. A building principal for applicants employed at a school site.
b. Your immediate supervisor if other than the building principal.
c. A colleague or college instructor who is familiar with your work.

 

4. College name and address where you are currently enrolled. Please submit an official college transcript with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

 

The information provided herein is accurate to the best of my knowledge. If I am awarded the scholarship, I will abide by the terms of the scholarship and teach in the State of Maryland.

Applications and supporting documents, including two letters of recommendation and an official college transcript, must be received in The Community Foundation of Frederick County, MD, Inc. on or before 5:00 p.m., March 3, 2008.  There are No Exceptions to this deadline.
